($39) Deep red. Fresh strawberry and cherry on the nose, with intense fresh herb tones. Fleshy and sweet, with bright red fruit flavors framed by silky tannins. Picks up an interesting mineral character with sir, and finishes with excellent verve and precision. For a "basic" wine, this is outstanding. 92 points
