There is enough wood to notice framing the pretty aromas of smoke, white flowers, pear and a hint of resin/petrol. There is also a touch of oak on the delicious and solidly concentrated middle weight flavors that retain a fine sense of delineation along with a lovely minerality on the sappy, focused and reasonably well-balanced and beautifully persistent finish. I say reasonably well-balanced because there is a hint of warmth but it's sufficiently slight that as long as the wine is kept at the appropriate serving temperature there should be no concern.
