By Allen Meadows (Domaine Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny "Les Amoureuses" 1er 1er Cru Red) A strikingly layered nose of cassis flowers, black cherry, spice, stone and violets serves as a stunning introduction to the cool, restrained and highly vibrant medium-bodied flavors where the transparency is something to see as this is positively crystalline. The lilting and caressing flavors glide across the palate yet there is an explosiveness to the finish that is almost unexpected. Lovely juice that is fashioned in an understated and altogether classy style. (Drink starting 2022) 91-94 points By John Gilman View From the Cellar, (Chambolle-Musigny “les Amoureuses”- Domaine Comte de Vogüé) The 2010 les Amoureuses is a deep and very young bottle that shows of great potential for future complexity and elegance. The quite primary nose offers up a nascently complex blend of cherries, red plums, raw cocoa, mustard seed, beautiful soil tones, flowers, new wood and a gentle topnote of vinesmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a tightly-knit structure, fine minerality, lovely focus and fine-grained tannins perking up the very long and transparent finish. (Drink between 2020-2050) 92-93+ points
