A surprisingly high-toned nose is exceptionally fresh with its earthy and beautifully layered notes of cranberry and raspberry that precede the textured broad-scaled and big-boned flavors underpinned by very firm tannins and a palate staining and explosive finish that seems to go on and on. This is a big wine and while muscular, it's not necessarily a bruiser. It is for the patient however. Burghound 92-95 Sweet Spot!
