2006 Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Poissenots”: (from vines between 50 and 63 years of age). This is also notably ripe and restrained, even brooding with its cassis and blackberry fruit aromas that give way to rich, fresh and vibrant medium full flavors that are delicious and culminate in a mineral and slightly saline finish that delivers impressive length. I quite like this as it’s at once ripe but cool and has that quality of underlying tension on the mouth coating finish. Recommended. 91/2013+ Burghound 91
