Allen Meadows' Burghound, April 2007
(Bouchard has owned this parcel since
1997 when they did an exchange with Domaine Jean Boillot). An even riper
nose of violets, cassis and black cherry aromas marries well with rich,
full and seductive flavors that possess good focus and power as well as
a velvety, indeed even silky mouth feel. A balanced, harmonious and deep
offering that should age well for a long time. 91-94 points

Nov/Dec 2006
Bright ruby-red. Sappy, nuanced nose
combines black cherry, licorice and minerals. Juicy, penetrating and
fine, with insinuating inner-palate perfume and flavor intensity. Very mineral-driven
wine with a restrained sweetness and a broad, palate-saturating back end.
The tannins arrive late, giving the perfume a chance to expand in the
mouth. 90-93 points |
