Allen Meadow's Burghound, Jan. 2002
Similar in style to the Amoureuses
though less forward and much more structured. Frank attack with dusty finishing
tannins. Lovely, powerful and superbly long with grand cru size.

Steven Tanzer's Int'l Wine Cellar,
Mar/Apr 2002
Bright full red. Very ripe, expressive
aromas of roasted strawberry, mocha, cocoa powder and pepper. Lush, silky
and fat; a very rich, dense Bonnes-Mares with a Bordeaux-like texture and
lovely harmonious acidity. Doesn't offer the charm of Chambolle but this
very solid wine has a strong tannic backbone for aging.
